My headphones won’t connect to the Studio

If you’re having trouble connecting bluetooth headphones to the Studio for the first time:

  1. Open the Studio Settings by tapping the stacked horizontal lines on the top left corner of the screen next to the time and tap the Bluetooth button.
  2. Check to see whether the headphones show in the “Pair A New Device” list.
  3. If the device is shown, select it. A check mark will appear when the device is successfully connected.
  4. If the headphones are not appearing in the list, make sure they are in pairing mode. After putting them in pairing mode, wait a few mins to see if they appear. 
  5. Tap your headphones and wait for a check mark to appear confirming that they are connected. 

If you’re having trouble connecting the headphones to the Studio even though you’ve previously been able to: 

  1. Open the Studio Settings by tapping the stacked horizontal lines on the top left corner of the screen next to the time and tap the Bluetooth button.
  2. Check to see whether the headphones show in the “Your Devices” list.
  3. If you see your device, tap it to connect and verify that the check mark appears next to them. 
  4. If the headphones are not appearing in the list, make sure they are in pairing mode. After putting them in pairing mode, wait a few mins to see if they appear. 
  5. Tap your headphones and wait for a check mark to appear confirming that they are connected. 

If the device is shown, but there is not a check mark next to it (meaning it is not connected):

  1. Tap the “Forget” button, which will remove the headphones from the list of “Your Devices.” 
  2. Next, to reconnect the device, make sure that it is in pairing mode and close by, and look for it to reappear on the list “Pair a New Device.” 
  3. Once it appears on the list, tap it and wait for the check mark to appear.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, resetting the Studio may help resolve the bluetooth connection issue. 

Resetting the Studio will remove all member profiles, bluetooth devices and network settings, but it will not remove your classes.

To reset the Studio:

  1. Open the Studio Settings by tapping the stacked horizontal lines on the top left corner of the screen next to the time. Then tap the System button. Towards the bottom of the System Settings list, tap “Reset.” (Note that only the Studio’s owner may reset the Studio. It’ll also ask for you to add your password just to make sure).
  2. The Studio will restart. Once it turns on, you can reconnect to the network, sign into your account and proceed with connecting the headphones.

If the headphones are still not showing on the list while in pairing mode, try to pair another set of bluetooth headphones if you have them. If you’re able to successfully pair the second set of headphones, then there is likely an issue with the initial pair you were trying to connect. 

Note: the FORME Studio does not currently support pairing with Airpod Pros.
